We have several peacocks strolling in our garden. They think they own the place. With concrete jungles mushrooming everywhere they are displaced from their usual habitat and Solitaire has enough to shelter them.
I have several videos and photos of these lovely birds. It is a joy to see them on our roof top, quenching their thirst in the birdbath and as you can see in the image they feel protected relaxing.
Watch this 30 second video. I have larger videos but I know you will not have the time for them.

The only sad part is despite there being so many of them strolling I have yet to see any peacock dancing
Peacock is our National bird We cannot adopt them.

I was terrified of peacocks – I felt like they had 10000 eyes looking at me.
I welcome them as they are friendly birds.
In our country we have peacocks. I only saw them in the yard.
Peacocks aren’t native to the Americas, but they can live in the warmer climates just fine. I’ve never seen them fly but I’ve seen them in places that they’d have to fly to get there…
The peacocks that visit us sometimes get to the top of our water tank.
and obviously they didn’t climb, ergo they flew. I’ve just never seen them fly
Very funny ? I was just visualising how that heavy bird would slowly climb up to the water tank
for my part, I have trouble visualizing them in flight- those tail feathers must be a huge drag
There are many peacocks in the Torrevieja Park in Spain. But I’ve also seen them on the roofs of the houses. I think I have this picture here on virily. A wonderful bird with very beautiful feathers. You are a lucky man.
This is a wonderful bird, my friend … you can still find her on a farm
Your garden must be really beautiful, with trees, flowers and even peacocks! I only see peacocks being kept in the cage here, for display. I haven’t see them flying before too. I didn’t know they can actually fly so high. I just got to know peacocks are your country’s national bird. Thanks for sharing the pictures and those information! ^_^
That’s amazing that you get to see these beautiful birds every day. We only see them in the zoo. It’s a shame that their habitat is being destroyed.

Peacocks are beautiful birds. My great aunt and uncle had one that I remember and seen him spread his tailfeathers.
That is one thing they have not done in our garden and that is to spread their tail feathers. I am hoping they will, one day
It is a sight to see and is quite enjoyable.
we have peacocks in zoos but not running around in the wild.
As I have said in my post these poor beings are displaced from their habitat and are therefore seen roaming around like this.
yes i was saddened in reading that. It is a huge problem all around the world.
Peacocks are absolutely very handsome and gorgeous birds. I know we have some here even in Canada but I think they live mostly in zoos and I have never seen one in person. Nonetheless, the fact remains that they are absolutely beautiful birds and I envy you for seeing them almost everyday in your immediate surroundings. One bird we have here in Canada and that rivals the peacock, I think, are the white or black swans. I wonder if you have these swans where you reside?
There are swans but not where I live. These peacocks feel at home and that is what I am happy about.
This is one of the very unique creature of nature.
