I have a WIP of this entitled Freighthopper, but that is just a working title. As always, review the original post before you vote if you don’t remember it…
Since this is a horror piece, the atmosphere is crucial. I’ve tried three different postwork techniques to evoke a spooky vibe, which one do you think does the job?
-
which style do you prefer for this piece?
-
gloomy
-
dark
-
foggy

It’s really scary work … I decided to be dark
Dark is still the frontrunner, thanks for voting
Great works, I voted for dark!
dark is just little miss popularity
I can’t choose one since they’re not as sharp at the cover picture …
So I’d just skew towards the one in the cover picture!
Hmm… I think the sharpness of the cover picture with dark might work well …
https://virily.com/art/freighthopper-wip/?mref=246 has them all at full rez
Of course you know I go with the gloomy. But you can’t go wrong with this piece.
gloomy has a nice sunset vibe
I agree with RasmaSandra, the dark seems to speak the most to me!
RasmaSandra has a great rationale
I agree with the choice of RasmaSandra. Very excellent post Alex Ledante
RasmaSandra makes a compelling argument
I chose foggy because usually if it is horror the background is foggy or misty.
that was my thinking as well…
we are thinking alike… yes!!! but maybe the dark is ok also.
They’re both good looks for this piece, I am just wondering which one works better…
for me the best is the foggy one…
I chose the dark because with the black background it makes me think something else might pop up behind the freigthopper.
An excellent point! I like the way you think…
I also chose dark … the outages even more attractive my friend
yes, dark seems to be the way to go
