Morning Glory Blooms Indoors

I usually start plants early indoors but I guess I started the Morning Glory too early. They have started to bloom indoors.  It is strange to see  annual flowers blooming indoors with no sun. While it is a lovely sight, I fear they may be all done blooming before I transplant them outside.

Morning glories are annual vines with trumpet shaped flowers that come in a varietyof colors including purple, pink, blue and white. Strange enough, the flowers open in the sun and close at dusk. So why do I have morning glories blooming indoors with no sun? Perhaps they just open up at daylight whether or not there is sun.

  1. These grow like wild plants here all year round, but I love this idea of growing them indoors. I am going to try this right away. We get a lot of sunlight indoors, so that shouldn’t be a problem.
