please as I stand here waiting
Godot will never come
I realize he isn’t near me now.
But i wish the coffee
warm and flowing cleanly into
my cup and the warmth rising
lets me smell the
sound of coffee.
round in the air it
resonates with the falling leaves
that sprouting
rise from branches and
lift limbs to tha air.
May I have a cup of coffee, please?

I always smell my coffee before I sip it. I love the aroma of coffee. I clutch my mug with both hands to keep myself warm on cold days.
so do I, i have a story I have shared many times about what it meant to have a warm coffee mug when I was a teacher!

I am a tea drinker mostly but when I have cake or sweet it has to be a steaming cup of black coffee for me. I remember my late husband was very fond of coffee and we would treat ourselves to coffee with a big spoonful of vanilla ice cream floating in it
my wife only does coffee with cream. Sometimes if there is no milk/creamer available she does vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Indeed, when I use by large Eeyore mug on these cold mornings, it is a hand warmer.

I have a Mickey Mouse mug for morning coffee or I use some clear glass mugs with engravings of fruit on them.
i do not have a disney mug, I should get one! I would probably get a tigger mug he is my favorite!
Tigger would be a good way to wake up. I am a Eeyore or Pooh person, but Tigger is cool too.

I too smell my coffee in the morning. It really does wake a person up as the one commercial says.

i do about 2 cups a day as well and yes, it is the beginning to my day!!!
At home, I always make Turkish coffee in the pubs, but sometimes I drink coffee or cappuccino
i had Turkish coffee in Istanbul, Portuguese coffee in Lisbon and the stuff they call coffe in India.
it is different from the world over!
For my taste, the best coffee is brewed in Italy – the Italian cappuccino is the best for me
