Sharing a magnolia bloom from my summer yard. I really enjoy the magnolia tree and its dark green leaves. It is evergreen, meaning it stays green year round. It is nice always having something green in the yard. Especially on these cold winter days.
This bloom is called a saucer magnolia bloom. It truly is the size of a saucer. And there is nectar that attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. The seed pods attract the birds.
A great tree to have in your yard if you have the room. It grows very tall. More of those little things I enjoy in life.

They are a beautiful tree. Glad you know it my friend.
Most of our trees are evergreen. I love magnolias, the fragrance has me in its hold.
I love evergreen Dawn. I have many as well.
The smell of the south! i love the flower picture!
The impact of evergreens has to be in the winter, when often in my yard they are only green things!
Nothing can replace it Doc. Brings back such good memories. That is the time I really appreciate the evergreens as well.
that is the time when they bring smiles! 🙂
And we can never have too many smiles. 🙂

That is great, they seem to be all over the world.
That is a very nice flower. Does it have a nice scent as well?
Yes it is very sweet, that is how it attracts the hummingbirds and butterflies. The magnolia tree grows to over 100 feet tall!
Beautiful plant. I have never seen this plant in white.
Thanks, I love this tree in the yard. I love the white blooms.
Gorgeous magnolia! I love them, but they are a bit tricky in our climate.
Thanks, it is a favorite, we had them growing up.
What trees grow well in your climate?
Magnolia has beautiful flowers but only lingers on the tree for a short time.
Yes but they are beautiful while they last, and the tree has the evergreen leaves.
I have found that true with most flowering plants and trees. Short lived.
I have seen the Magnolia tree only abroad. It has very nice blossoms.
Thanks it is a favorite of mine.
