Sharing a photo of the saucer sized magnolia blooms from my yard last year.
I look forward to seeing these large blooms and the fragrance is amazing.
The birds are attracted to these blooms.
The tree is evergreen and is beautiful and green all year.
One of my favorite trees in the yard.

After raking the leaves in the front yard three times this fall because the oak tree decided to let leaves go in batches not bunches, I like the evergreen tree in the backyard that DOESN’T drop leaves!
These trees shed big leaves as well. I pick them up so they don’t dame the mower.
the only way I know of a leaf being able to dame a lawnmower would be if your mower was Carol Channing!

I remember this tree, Carol. It has the most amazing blooms! My favourite is a cherry blossom which was Joshie’s favourite. How he loved that tree when it was in bloom 😀
Oh the cherry blossoms are beautiful. Many of my neighbor’s have those in the spring. What great memories you have. This magnolia is evergreen, which is another reason I love it.
Magnolia is a beautiful plant. Unfortunately, I don’t have it in the garden.
