Magnolia blooms are all over my tree. The big saucer sized blooms are very attractive. This bloom is about halfway open. You can see a seed pod behind the bloom, it has already bloomed. You can also see a raindrop on the bloom, if you look close.
Sharing this photo with the Macro Monday challenge.
The birds love the blooms and they are nice to see with the dark green shiny leaves. I always brag on how much I enjoy the magnolia tree and recommend it to anyone.

Their flowers look so soft. ?
We have a magnolia tree that’s blooming as well, but it’s like in front of us, not our yard, so I don’t think I can get close. ?
Such a magnificent flower! I am enjoying it
Thank you very much again for your support, I enjoy my garden.
Very beautiful flower and yeah, nature has lots lessons to offer, especially if we are attentive!!!
Thanks, I love the magnolia blooms.
Such a beautiful bloom my dear friend.
Thank you, these are some of my favorites.
Looking at your photos of magnolia for several times, I can say that these are like angels’ wings. The flower looks heavenly and uplifting presence.
Never thought about them as angel wings, how cool, thanks!
I was at a Walmart that I don’t usually go to just yesterday and thought about you and your beautiful tree. The whole parking lot had about 20 magnolia trees planted in those dividers. They are all about 20 foot high now. They have trimmed them to look like palm trees. Sticks with round tops, but a few of them had giant blooms on them. I didn’t have a camera, but I was thinking I would love to take a picture of one so you could see it. They look so bizarre like that. I love your photo, happy bloooms!
Don’t trim IT! lol 😀
First of all it has never been or never will be trimmed. Thankfully it sits far enough away from the house, it won’t need trimming. I would love to have 20 trees! But cannot imagine them looking like palm trees. That is too bad. Thanks for thinking of me. 🙂
I knew you felt the same way about the excessive trimming from some of my earlier posts. How tall is yours now?
Have you seen the dark red Yulan Magnolias? You need one of those! 😉
Yes my neighbor has one and it is gorgeous.
They are such a gentle flower, an expression of the south! Nice capture!
Yes, the good ole Southern Magnolia. Thanks Doc.
It is funny, they really haven’t spread north to Ohio or Indiana. But they are all over DC.
That is kind of strange. Things that make you go hmmmm.
I think they are more a flower of the south. Who knows. I remember seeing them once in a blue moon in Indiana. But willow trees much more often.
Nature has some wonderful images to show all of us.
You are right, I learn all the time from nature.
Nature is a wonderful away to learn new things.
Yes, I learn all the time.
It is one way to amaze all of us.
I wish I could have one of these trees here
Maybe there are others that might look similar in your area.
I love the Magnolia flower and it’s scent.
They do have a very sweet scent for sure. The birds love it too.
Yes. Nature has so many thing to offer since Nature is perfect and real
Yes indeed, I am learning something new all the time.

Beautiful flower. Magnolia are wonderful trees.
Thanks, I really enjoy the one tree I have.
I probably talk about the magnolia more than many want to read about, but I just enjoy it all season long.
Magnolia is truly a wonderful flower just a pity when it bounces so quickly
Yes but they last longer than others I have.
Have a great evening lado. Not much going on here at the site it seems.
Great share! I would love to check this Monday Challenge.
Thanks, just post a photo of a macro something you have captured.
You can take a photo of anything up close and it can be called a macro.
