The genus begonium is extremely extensive, with over 900 species. It is a very abundant flowering plant that can be grown in the garden, on the balcony, in the terrace and in the apartment. Because of many crosses, the tuberous begonia varies greatly in height, shape and color of flowers from the original plant that grows in nature. The tuberous begonia comes from the tropical forests of Asia and subtropical areas of central and southern America. I have begonia on the terrace and they are beautiful.

I love them but they don’t do too well outdoors.
Yes, you are right. I had them on the north side of the house and they did not work well either.
This is a lovely flower and yes I have seen these at garden centres in Auckland
Thank you very much, Pamela. The flowers are really beautiful
This looks like the flower that is the logo for Maribor.
Hahaha …. I must say that you know well our football teams
I love begonias , especially the tuberous one, but they don’t seem to do well in my climate.
I also have tuberous and they are quite sensitive.
Although tuberous begonias are shade-loving plants, they also require a bit of morning or late afternoon sunlight
You are right. They grow best on the north side where there is not much sunshine
We have a couple of begonias in our garden but I have never seen such a beautiful flower blooming on a begonia
I agree. This flower really looks special

I had pink, but the big heat destroyed it.
