Macro Monday – Cereal leaf beetle

The purpose of macrophotography is to capture in the images the less visible world and if it is possible to fit it into a photographic composition.

By the original definition, a macro photograph is one in which the size of the subject on the  image sensor is life size or greater.

This little insects is about 5 mm long with dark-blue wing with greenish reflections, and red legs. Cereal leaf beetle is not as harmless as it seems. It is one of the most important pests of barley, oats and wheat. This bug presents a generation a year and  adults spread to the exterior of fields during their overwinter.
