Bromelia is a plant that is natural in tropics, it is easily grown in the home environment. There are about 50 species, they differ in the structure of leaves and inflorescence. Bromelia is a plant that grows in the form of a rosette and has leather leaves. The inflorescence rises on the stem high above the rosette, and it grows out of the middle of the rosette. For many species, the most striking leaves are the leaves, while the flowers themselves are not overly intrusive – they are small and short-lived. The flower or overhang leaves of some species can withstand a few months. Flowering of bromeliads occurs only once in life and lasts for several months, most often in the summer, after which the plant dies.
