Learn More About Sleep

My interest and fascination with sleep is probably linked to my sleep disorder.  I have had the disorder my entire life so it feels normal to me and I don’t find it to be much of a problem for me. Sometimes it is a problem for others.

Still the more I learn about sleep the more I wonder if other things are connected to me sleep or lack of it, and I am completely unaware. I have decided to take this journey and learn more about sleep in general and hopefully find some solutions.

So I am in the searching phase of the project. I am reading all the things I can get a hold of and comparing them. Hopefully, I will learn and perhaps some solutions that might be helpful for family members and the way we all deal with the differences.

  1. My sleep pattern these days is that I doze off during the evening – usually while watching TV – wake up at about 10 or 11, and am then wide awake until after midnight – sometimes up to 1 a.m. – when I then go to bed, waking up again at around 6.30.

  2. with me it’s that if I am sleepy I can fall asleep pretty quickly but when I start to wake up if my mind come fully awake and suddenly thoughts come to me about all I have to do then I can forget about continuing to sleep so no matter how many hours I have gotten of sleep my brain says get up, get up

  3. After losing Dustin I could not sleep for years. Now it is better. I watch tv for a few minutes to clear my mind, something funny, nothing serious at all, and then I drift off the sleep. No naps. We are all different.
