i had a project in Memphis and I wandered there often. There are two things I remember about the city. The first is some of the best BBQ and the best Blues music on earth. Rendevous was the place of choice when I was going to Memphis, they served wet and dry rub ribs.
Blues, Ribs and Beer, i have to say it was an amazing place to be!

I would love to visit Memphis. But I have read the comment by Ahol that Memphis is dangerous. I did not know that.
any city in the world can be dangerous – Paris has bad neighborhoods. London has bean neighborhoods. You just have to plan and be careful!

Very dangerous to visit unless you know the places to go. The BBQ and music are still legendary.
they are, and sadly memphis is very dangerous, that makes me so sad.

i suspect as my dad used to say, we need to do a better job of educating people.
Memphis was nice when I went there as a kid. You couldn’t pay me to go there now.
it has good and not so good parts like any city. love the ribs!
I have relatives that live in the suburbs in Memphis. It’s as rough as Chicago where the guard has to be up if you’re not downtown. They live in the suburbs for their own safety. Memphis is a no-go for me.
it has some really rough areas, i always think that is sad.
So sad to know Memphis is dangerous. Elvis Presley would be upset.
parts of the city are tough now, but they have been tough for many years. it is all about being smart when traveling!
