I do not want to be at the center of attention
I don’t like being the center of attention and always prefer to stay in the background. I avoid those two as much as I can.

A gathering… You must mean more than three people. I will make an excuse not to go if it’s not an important gathering that I have to attend. I could be happy being a hermit. 😉

It is my natural inclination to be shy and stay on the sidelines, but I have had some assertiveness training and can go on center stage when the situation demands it. I am very much more a leader than a follower and am usually the one who takes charge in a crisis.. Hi Brendel! You are a sweet kitty-kat.

I am also taking to the background to be unnoticed. I hate attention towards me from a real person although I enjoy the comments and the up votes on my articles. I am much more inclined to get attention anonymously on the internet and Virily. I hope I am making sense…

I, with all humility, must say yes to both. It’s a bit difficult to say but honestly, I prefer to be behind even though I often have to be pulled to the middle.
Circumstances are different for all of us. I can see why you would be pulled into a gathering. With all of your wisdom you have to offer.
