MERCER MAYER began writing and illustrating children’s books in 1966, and since that time, he has published over 300 titles.
Open almost any of the award winning author illustrator’s books, and out may pop dragons, cuddly monsters, wonderful creatures, and endearing critters.
Dustin had a collection of these incredible Little Golden Books that I read to him for many years.
Sharing this story with today’s Saturday Critters challenge. Something a little different. I remember many little critters in these books.
Brought back wonderful memories for me. I took a stroll down memory lane while writing this.
Familiar with this series of children’s books?

These are children’s books that we in Europe know nothing about. They look fun.
I do not know anything about these books but to be honest, the cover you have included is really beautiful and adorable.
I don’t know these books. I don’t know if we can get them in our country.

I was a regular book worm as a child but this series of books I do not know. I read many picture books and others including some from the series the Golden Books. Will take a look at what these books had to offer out of curiosity,
I am surprised more did not know these books, such a cool series.
