Is This Not Your Deepest Fear?

Isn’t it marvelous, how some writers, using the same equipment to write with, get words to come out just right? Words that capture the deepest and most profound intricacies of the human psyche One such gifted writer is Marianne Williamson, don’t you agree? here is her best example called Our Deepest Fear

OUR DEEPEST FEAR is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that WE ARE POWERFUL BEYOND MEASURE. It is our LIGHT, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be BRILLIANT, GORGEOUS, TALENTED, FABULOUS? Actually, who are you not to be?

YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

WE ARE ALL MEANT TO SHINE as children do.

We were born to make manifest THE GLORY OF GOD THAT IS WITH US. It’s not just in some of us, IT’S IN EVERYONE.

And as we let our own LIGHT SHINE we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically LIBERATES OTHERS.

  1. i have heard these words before and they truly do not ring true to me. The line we are all meant to shine is something I have questioned for many years.

but that is just me I understand.

Great post, thanks for making me think!

  2. For me personally, it is not that I fear the light, nor my power.

I fear not ever working out how to live from them fully in my life.

I fear wasting my life, living without living from my full power, and living without living from the full light of truth.

If my own experience is anything to go by then, nobody fears the light, they just do not know/understand what it is.

They do fear love, as it is love that is the energy behind the light, and to love continually, takes great courage, strength, and belief in that love to love.

      • I am not playing at anything. I am just who I am, right now.

If God wants to open me up further, he can do so, but he needs to give me the wisdom to handle the extra power, and insight, at the same time.

Nobody wants to be a shrunken image of themselves.

People are always being the best that they how to be, at all times.

Nobody is playing small. We are all on our own path.

We are opening up like a flower does, but in our own time, and way.

A butterfly can’t be forced to become a butterfly before it is ready to do so.

All we should give out is love, not any judgements about who, and why, people might seem to be, who, why, and what they are right now.
