If You are Here for the Money…

You might be disappointed. Would it surprise you to know that I make less than one cent an hour to create and participate here? I am currently standing at 1,434 total submissions (those don’t include comments and such). I am not complaining, I am explaining that this site was not create to make money easy and plentiful. For me, it wouldn’t pay the power bill. It wouldn’t make or break any bill I have. If it’s about the money, this is not going to work for you.

If you looking for a place to simply put your ideas and hope for the best, it’s great. If you are looking for a place to make friends, remember meeting people on line has risks. They can pretend to be something or someone they are not easier than those who have to deal with you face to face.

If you are looking for a community you may find it. Most of the time I feel invisible inside the community, but I have “brick and mortar” friends who stop by this site and my blog to check in, but that is about it.

Could it be that communication is a passion and I am addicted to trying to make it work?

  1. No I am not here for money because I have never gotten paid. I just made enough to cash out but I still have not see an email or anything. I make a little money each month chatting with friends over at mylot. I feel this is more of an article writing site, to chat and get paid its all mylot and up to each person how much they make by how much they chat. I have made real connections over there.

  2. A wise person once said to thine known self be true. I know why I am here, as you pointed out it is not to make money. Until the last quarter, I struggled to get paid every two months. I do find the community can be hard to stay connected with.

1 month, if you’re active and your posts are approved fast enough.
