So many awesome places indeed. Luckily, I have visited 3 of them, but there’s so much more to see!

Reading this list I just realized how much I traveled for the 10 years I was on the road. only 3 places on this list I haven’t been to…
That’s very cool, Doc. It’s pretty unusual for an American to have travelled to so many old world locations.
It was my job for about 10 years. I ran a global team, and was all over the world.
Luckily you enjoyed the travel aspect of that. It’s tough on the ones who hate travel!
I hated being gone for two, three weeks at a time. The kids were little when I was traveling it was hard on all of us. I don’t do that anymore, but I have taken the kids and my wife to many of the places I went to back then.
I sometimes do something like that. I like to get away alone for a few days a couple of times a year, and usually go with an eye out for the practicalities of visiting later with wife and teenager in tow 🙂
There are more places than my backyard? Great wish list for me Norman. The only places I marked dont really care is NY City. Now upper NY, yes, by all means. The only one I have been to is Disneyland, yes in my backyard, an hour away in Anaheim! Can I hike to these places from here? Grins, great poll, and really good to see you!

I would like to see the Roman Coliseum since sports in that era are quite the same today in America. Feed the people some “sports entertainment” to keep the people away from who is really running the show.
Well that’s true. Keep the masses diverted. Sometimes Christians were fed to lions in the Colosseum, so not all the sports they held there are the same as in America 🙂
You have a good point there about sports in the Roman era compared to today.
I like to go to most historic places, I lost interest going to USA.
I am sure there are many wonderful places to visit in the USA, Mavic, but it’s natural that we are attracted by some countries more than others! Have you visited any of the places I listed?
Welcome back, Norman! I only have visited the Eiffel Tower but I would like to visit these places. I do not know if it ever happens!?

Nope, been to DisneyWorld in Orlando.
Oh well I haven’t been to Anaheim either. I was at Disneyland Paris, about four times 🙂 In the poll I meant any Disney -land – world -anything!
