There is no right or wrong way to write. What I have discovered is that most people write like I write, they just write down the words as they pop into their head. Even some of the most famous writers write like that. Although there are writers who take much time to develop the characters, settings and plots before even sitting down to write a story. It’s all a personal choice.

I do not feel like a writer, I am not, I just write what comes to mind motivated by what I remember, see, observe and think about the day, I do not plan, it arises in the moment.
I have written a few short stories at best. Not sure that I have developed that writing skill. However, I tend to like things that are fast moving
I get inspired by many things.
I just write what flows out of my mind. But I have never written a story.
Passion, loss, bring about a lot of emotion. It is a art form of therapy.
I get inspired by many things, and then the story just flows and flows.
I write randomly and am not used to using prompts. Yes, whatever idea pops in my head, I write about it. Anything could give me inspiration. A picture. A comment. A story. The weather.
I’m not much of a writer, but it depends. Sometimes I write whatever comes to my mind, and other times I try to plan things in advance.
I am so sorry for your lose.. Many people do use writing as a form of therapy.
I call it journaling but I guess it is the same to most. After losing my son it was a form of therapy and it continues to this day.
