With the bitter cold outside I felt it was time for a cup of hot tea. I enjoy my tea with honey and a little cream. Takes me back to memories of my dear Grandmother. I am sure I have talked about it before, and probably will again, but she was the shining light in my life. As well in Dustin’s. We were very close.
She would pick wild mint from around the edge of her yard. She would let it dry out then put it in a container for her hot tea. Then she would boil the tea on her stove with the mint and her house would smell of the mint. Memories that will never leave my mind and heart. Cheers to my Grandmother with this cup of tea.

I like hot tea all year round. I enjoy green tea more than any other.
I love tea with lemon and honey
Honey tea is perfect for cold air.
Hmmm… indeed beautiful memories are hard to put on the bottom pile.
I like tea when outside is cold.
Yes and I am glad to hear you do as well.
When is very cold i add a lemon in my cup of tea.
I am sorry to report I do not like tea even though I have tried. I am a big old coffee drinker, preferably Tim Horton’s coffee. Miam..Miam…I have decreased my consumption tremendously over the past five years or so from a 20 cup a day to about 3-4 cups a day always with honey. Iam also immune to caffeine as it does not give me one ounce of extra energy, nor does it disturb my sleep. That is one heck of a lovely donkey cup you have…
20 cups a day, I cannot imagine. I only drink one large cup of Eeyore Nescafe. Only when it gets cold like now do I enjoy a cup of hot tea. It is so peaceful with all the memories and the honey and the mint. It’s all good. Thanks, I love my Eeyore mugs.
I prefers just plain tea (green or red tea) xcept when it’s bubble tea (I’ve had many flavoured bubble tea) but sounds like a great to add honey!
So do I, but black tea is what I buy. Honey is the best!
Yes, its a healthier sweetener!!
I also like tea in the winter, preferably with honey and lemon
I will pass on the lemon but love the honey.
And what kind of tea do you drink?
Just plain black tea.
But I can not – you see how different we are Carol
Oh Carol, I love your mug. It’s very cute. I’ve tried tea with honey before, but never with cream. It sounds very tempting though. I shall try that.
Thank you, I love Eeyore and this is a favorite. Try a little cream, so good.
The mint tea has a wonderful aroma and it soothes it so nicely.
The cup of tea is just as beautiful, but I do not think it was from your grandmother’s time.
Yes it is great Robin. It takes me away to a better place.
No, the mug is only a few years old. I do not have any of her dishes unfortunately.
