The use of chia seed is already very old, since they come from Central and South America. If we compare different surveys, the results are somewhat different, but not so much as to claim that one of the studies is particularly exiting. Unsaturated fatty acids in seeds are complemented by high levels of fiber and many useful ingredients. All research has shown that chia seeds contain as much as 30% of oil, which contains a large amount of omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids. There are also some saturated fatty acids. In 100 grams of seed, about 40 g of carbohydrates, just over 15 g of protein, high iron, magnesium, potassium, calcium, phosphorus and zinc. Seeds should help regulate body weight, blood sugar levels, help eliminate waste substances from the body, improve digestion, benefit the heart, and improve brain functions.
