Bringing the dead to life

We had issues with our garlic vine which had climbed on our yielding trees that killed those trees.  I had no choice but to pull out the vine but I cut a piece and planted it at the bottom of our dead fig tree stump.  We had lost our fig tree years ago

It did take awhile but this morning I was surprised to see flowers and buds on that vine  This vine will not be as robust as the one I had knocked down but happy that I have got it in our garden.

The fig tree gave us plenty of figs though wild.  We, besides eating them prepared fig syrup that blended well with ice cream.

You can see in this video how robust and beautiful the vine was that I brought down. Sad but could not help it.

I have been writing for various sites some of which have disappeared.  I have several interests including writing, photography, gardening, reaching out, cooking.  I have a blog which needs a bit of revamping and when I get some time I will go there and do justice.

I love people and have been responsible for getting together several groups such as class mates, seniors, orphaned kids and family
