This Eeyore was sent to me from my Australian friend at Christmas. I keep him closeby and he brings a smile.
Blue has always been my favorite color. I especially love the shade of Eeyore, which is called Eeyore blue. There is actually a paint named after him. I have a bedroom painted in this color.
I was looking at the meanings of different colors. Found some interesting trivia about this subject.
Blue is the favorite color of many people. It’s nature’s color for water and sky, but is rarely found in fruits and vegetables. Today, blue is embraced as the color of heaven and authority and denim jeans. It is cold, wet, and slow as compared to red’s warmth, fire, and intensity.
Most blues convey a sense of trust, loyalty, cleanliness, and understanding. On the other hand, blue evolved as symbol of depression in American culture. Singing the blues and feeling blue are good examples of the complexity of color symbolism and how it has been evolved in different cultures.
And of course my favorite bird is the beautiful Bluebird. They are visiting my yard now.

Dispositional pessimism is the tendency to believe the worst on a consistent basis, whereas defensive pessimism is being prepared for bad things. Interesting attitude.
