In every place when I visit, I also look at the church. I did it in Bohinj. It is situated along Bohinj Lake and together with the bridge is a beautiful image of Bohinj. Church of St. John the Baptist was built before 1300. It was named after a religious leader from the 1st century BC. The church is an important cultural and historical monument. The building includes styles from Baroque to Romanticism and is under monumental protection. The different layers are on the southern exterior of the painted three Christophers. Holy Christopher was the patron saint of furmans. A special feature of the church is the Baroque belfry.

There is something about ancient churches than the modern ones. Their architecture is different and inviting.
