Strmol Castle is an attractive place for short trips. It is located in the immediate vicinity of my home. The area itself offers plenty of beauties that can be seen, and for a longer walk we need to squeeze a little further along castle hills and meadows and surrounding forests. Strmol Castle is one of the oldest and most preserved castles in Slovenia, the beginnings date back to the 13th century. Today it is used for protocol services.

Castles are so full of historic vibes, they look especially magnificent on a hill. Once I visited a destroyed castle. I visited several kremlins. Thank you for your wonderful post!

There are no proper castles in New Zealand, except on in Dunedin or half a castle house in Epsom, Auckland.
