Autumn Joy Sedum is growing nicely in the garden. I have kept it in my deck garden for years. I finally decided to move it to the garden as it was outgrowing the container. Transplanting always makes me nervous. But so far it looks nice and green.
I am not sure if it will change colors this year or not. Time will tell. I hope it does as the butterflies are always attracted to this plant. I have it beside my butterfly bush in Dustin’s garden.

this is an awesome photo, I love it
Thank you very much Pam!
It looks so lovely! I remember your Autumn Joy sedum in the past and always imagined putting my palm on the flower.
There you are! Yes you could put your palm on it, it is that big. And growing even bigger in the garden now, instead of the deck container.
I hope that transplanting will succeed and the plant will grow
You are always so kind. I hope so as well. With it being so green I have to believe it will be fine.
Maybe I was not active yet when you posted the flower but I can say, it is really beautiful. It’s a good thing to know that transplanting is successful.
Thanks, I have more I posted when it was still in my deck garden. This sedum is like magic. It goes through different stages from spring through the fall.
Here is one more post to share… https://virily.com/science-nature/autumn-joy-in-carols-garden/
I’m glad that transplanting has succeeded … it’s really a wonderful flower
Still waiting to see if it is successful. It is all green now. We will see. Thanks!
Will be … I’ll hold my fist
Thank you, I need all the support! 🙂
With me you’ll always get, dear Carol
All your blooms are unforgettable carol, so always share all of them.
Oh you are too kind, I hope these survive!
I posted my first Tiger Lily earlier…

We shall see (fingers crossed).
I remember my dad growing tomatoes. He grew them indoors (in his greenhouse) and then planted them outside the minute it was warm. He would always lose a few. But most of them thrived!
Fingers and toes crossed. 🙂 That is a great way to grow tomatoes.
Dad grew amazing tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, squash and Asparagus!!!
My Dad always had a big garden and really enjoyed working in it.
That is a wonderful memory to have! Is that part of why you work so hard on your garden (I remember the other reason)?
Yes I think so, my Dad still plays a huge part in my life, even though he is gone. We talked about gardens a lot.
Does Autumn Joy sedum grow in shade?
Full sun has always been recommended. Kind of like a cactus in the dessert.
Oksay , thank you for the detail information – Pleasure
You are very welcome.
I know the nervousness that comes with transplanting …
we’ve crippled a few plants because of that… some survived but many don’t :/
Yes it was a big step but I had to try or the plant would have died.
Yap, worth a try since either way, it’ll die…
Yes I am hoping for the best.
Your wish will be granted 🙂
I was so happy about this bloom as well.. I know I’m just showing off now but I can’t help myself…
