First Tiger Lily of 2019 in my garden. So happy to see this bloom this morning. These blooms are bigger than my hand. Very large. The butterflies will be here soon. They will be inside this flower collecting the pollen. These are in my front garden.
Nature teaches me something every single day. And still so much more to learn.

So that is a tiger lily. Very stunning and gorgeous color. I did not know they were such a beautiful flower even though I am translating a book entitled Tiger Lily in Bangkok. The book is not about the flower but a young girl named Tiger Lily…

Thank you, it is a very large bloom. If you notice the name, Tiger Lily. My yellow ones are Day Lily. A big difference. And this one produces a lot of pollen for butterflies and hummingbirds.
