In Lošinj, there is another mobile bridge linking Mali Lošinj – I do not know exactly whether this channel is natural or artificial to shorten the way for both fishermen and tourists who sail from one side of the island to the other. This channel is much larger than the one connecting the island of Cres with the island of Lošinj. They also close the road here 2x every day, at 9 am and 6 pm, in order to release river traffic. The channel is 80 meters long and 8 meters wide and its depth is approx. 2.5m. In case of strong winds blowing, the bridge is closed due to high waves that prevent safe driving through this narrow channel.

Even I got confused. It’s bura, a type of wind in Croatia. Can be very inconvenient 🙂
Exactly and when it shows its power is Hurricane
I’ve seen this bridge already ….
Have you ever been to Lošinj?
Interesting things I can know from your country, Lado.
My friend is not in my country – the former common ja-today we are each for ourselves-this is in neighboring Croatia
I don’t know what Bora blow is.
This is a Hurricane wind-blower, the bridge is closed
ahhh I see, now I know why the term was a bit strange to me.
You are not the only one who did not understand this term-Bor does not mean nothing-it is said by us Burja-strong wind
Yes, it is okay it is nice to learn something

An excellent post on mobile bridges.
