Sharing a photo of the two angels in Dustin’s memorial garden. The roses have all bloomed for this season. The butterfly bushes also are all spent. They will return in the spring.
For now the garden has a different spotlight. The bird feeder is attracting all kinds of birds. Even with no flowers, there is still an attraction to this special garden in my backyard.
I choose to believe that Dustin’s presence is around with or without flowers.
Suffering has been stronger than all other teaching, and has taught me to understand what your heart used to be. I have been bent and broken, but I hope into a better shape. ~Charles Dickens, Great Expectations

I am sure he is present in any season.
The essence, the mystic bit that is love beyond us, is always around us. The colors you’ve brought to the garden (flowers, plants) are a part of that essence. But the colors brought from beyond (birds, squirrels) are from the essence to you.
Thanks for that Doc, I have to agree with you. It is a very special place.
it is a very special place!
One could feel the loving thoughts in this memorial.
You are very kind, thank you.
There is no better teacher than suffering. Hard times teaches us more than good times ever will.
Then I should be the smartest teacher in existence Dawn. I do agree with you. Life can be difficult but we get through.
Nice words there. Love is something that never diminishes. The more we give the more it grows.
The love from my son stays in my heart forever.
I know you have been through a difficult time and I admire you. You are a very strong woman. Love and memories no one can take away from us.
Thank you, and you as well. We have to hold onto our memories and the love in our heart.
Nature changes a lot in the fall … you really have a lot of love in your heart, dear Carol
Yes it changes each season. Thank you, when you lose so many of your family I guess you learn how to hold onto that love.
All environment is changing together with the seasons’ change. I think your garden is full of love no matter what the season is there.
You are very kind to say.
