Sharing a photo with Kim’s Themes by the month challenge. This bird feeder in Dustin’s garden is filled with peanuts. The blue jays, cardinals, doves and many other birds visit it often. I have one on the deck as well.
I enjoy sitting at the window watching the different kinds of birds visit. I went out to fill the bird bath but it was frozen solid. It might not unfreeze today, maybe tomorrow.

Do you feed the birds in the winter?
-
Yes

No

I would love to feed the birds like you but I do not have a garden
You could put a feeder on a balcony or any small space.
It is true. I have never thought about it. But I am happy with my dog.
Oops sorry! I voted yes to I feed the birds in winter, i usually feed them and provide water for them in summer when it is terribly hot and a number of birds die. Winter is full of fruits and seeds for them all around.
That is ok. We don’t have many berries around in the winter and I enjoy seeing them on the decl.
I read Angle Peanuts, and thought what is that? lol har har. Makes much more since if you pronounce it correctly. 😉 Love the shadows. I did not know you put out peanuts. I bet they love that! You know I cannot feed the birds here, the cats would love it if I did though. You should see them with that hummer that visits. She is so stealth, she can fly in without them even hearing her. She keeps an eye on them the whole time. They just ignore her. I think they think she is a big bug. 😉
That was the point, to get you to look. It worked, made you look. 🙂 The shadows were a bonus. Yes, the peanuts are whole and unsalted. The blue jays come five and six or more at one time, the cardinals, and the doves like them. One stray cat has been coming around, looks like the Dude, I have to keep an eye out as he has gone after the birds.
You should get a video when the hummer visits and the cat!
the angel looks like it is praying for either more birds, more cowbell, or more peanuts!
All of the above and Dustin as well. 🙂
what a great picture! thanks carol, you gave me hope today!
That is what it is all about. Have a good one!
the same good day wishes for you as well!!
I cannot feed the birds as it would cause mayhem among the other condo tenants. But it is very nice to see somebody does. But one question: where is the snow in your picture unless you do not get any…
I rarely get snow. We had a slight dusting the other day but it did not accumulate. I am in the southeast US and not much here.
Birds are certainly very happy when they get peanuts.
Yes they love the peanuts and sunflower seeds.
Yes, we have a little feeder in our garden.
That is nice, what kind of birds do you see?
LOL, we can get fined for feeding birds! Esp pigeons.
But I think its nice of you to feed them,
and they return the favour, by making you happy too!
😀
Oh wow I did not know that. I feed them in my backyard.
I guess we’re a little too small (and packed) here and some birds does cause problems…
there are also people who feed irresponsibly, like throwing food down from the window which cause a mess!!
I understand. It is too bad. There are always others who ruin it for the good people!
Nice picture for this challenge … I don’t keep the birds anymore because the birds just can’t see anymore … I don’t know if the cats have killed them all or what …. I just see some birds bite and crows
Thank you my friend. The birds love the peanuts. Cats will get them for sure.
I do have a feeder. I don’t know the names of any of the birds.
Can you get photos and share? I will help you figure out what they are.
Feeding others is always very rewarding.
Yes it really is, the birds have been non stop today.
You always have a good view of different birds.
How kind of you. I try to put the feeders so the birds will see them, and so I can snap some photos from inside.
