I just came across a write up on this business venture which talks about Amazon stores which are not only cashless but also cashierless. The write up mentions prospects of millions losing jobs and the only one benefiting by this is the owner.
The buyers do their purchases and walk out. The moment they step out their Amazon pay account will be debited with the amount involved.
Reports have it that by the year 2021 they plan to have such 3000 outlets in the US
It is obviously expected that there would be heavy criticism as this system would leave out the poor. Some shops now accept cash with an attendant letting in and checking out customers if they do not have the app.

I think that for people buying and selling we need flexibility.
They will soon realise that there will be less consumption and that will open their eyes.
This is unbelievable. The owners are just watching and counting to make even more profit. They don’t care about people.
More and more industries will for such arrangements.
Eventually we will all be replaced it seems.
Does it not look like ruthlessness?
Not many people will need it anymore … I don’t know how they will live
It seems only the rich will survive.
It all shows …. well I’m retired and no one can take that away … at least I hope so
This is how businesses are going to be run in the future. AI is taking over.
What will people do for jobs is a grave and worrying situation.
It’s a pity that people are losing their jobs because of that, but it seems to have some benefits too.
Same here. The Government is least bothered. They are busy getting a rank in the world and the method employed is not pro the poor.
I think it’s like that in most places. Such progress creates new jobs, but they are different. That’s why the goverments should focus on affordable education for everyone.
This is not good , many people will be jobless
This progress in technology have blinded many forgetting what it does to the less privileged.
I have heard and talked about this, for some people, it is progress and innovation, and of course many also disagree. Is it possible to avoid considering people call this time as the industrial era 4.0?
Business houses seem to prefer machines to men. Not a healthy trend.
Not something I would welcome but Amazon has apparently already secured retail space for one of these stores in London, UK.
I think this is quite a thoughtless idea.
