Playing around with one of my photos on this cold dreary day. Saw two bluebirds in the front yard yesterday. That was a sign of hope for sure. I hope they return in a few weeks when I put their house up in the garden.
It is always such an exciting time to open the bluebird house and see tiny blue eggs. I have my fingers crossed they will be able to build this year without the other birds chasing them away.
The bluebirds bring me such joy. My Bluebirds of Happiness for sure. I always feel Dustin around when I have those happiness moments. He plays a part I believe.

Such an interesting edit! I hope you will have luck again this year.
Thanks, I hope to see them as well Ellie.
lots of fun, i hope the bluebirds come to nest in Narnia this year!
I saw them in the front yard yesterday, so they are in the area. Fingers crossed.
let us hope as well that spring is near!
This is amazing. I can´t believe the eggs are blue. I want to see one in real life.
Yes the eggs are blue, here is one of many posts from two years ago in my backyard house….

Ok, thanks, I am going to read it.
Beautiful work on the nests and the eggs, Carol.
Thanks, it was something fun to do.
Nice image Carol. I have made a nesting box out of a detergent powder carton with some straws thrown in to serve as cushion. This has been placed in our balcony for over over two weeks. The hole is kept small so that only a sunbird or a tailor bird can enter. No luck so far.
Should we also place water or some feed in the vicinity to attract birds?
Definitely provide fresh water, that will keep them around. I change the bird bath here every day, even when it freezes. Good for you in making the nesting box. It takes awhile for them to find it and feel safe.
Sure. Will try to keep drinking water. We have no issues of freezing here. ?
How very lovely Carol. We have birds around here but they don’t stay long in the palm trees.
Thanks, I am feeding them on the deck to keep them around now.
Beautiful picture. Unfortunately, the birds do not nest near me.
Thanks, I believe the bluebirds are a North American bird.
You played nice with these eggs, dear Carol
Thanks my friend, it was a fun process.
