Here’s a photo of a female common chaffinch, another cute bird that can be found in Europe, across Asia to Siberia and in northwest Africa. It has the size of a sparrow and is sometimes kept as a pet bird. The one on the photo is a wild chaffinch, one of the birds we put seeds for. They never eat from the feeders, but they look for fallen seeds on the ground. Do you have chaffinches in your country? Do you feed the birds around your home?

We don’t have these birds here.
They are found mostly in Europe and the near areas, plus Russia.
You have an eye for bird pictures! We used to have pet birds when we lived in Thailand. I’ve thought about one many times after that, but haven’t gotten one.
Thank you very much! What bird would you get if you had the chance to?
I suspect a parrot, we had a neighbor in Thailand who had one,
Never seen chaffinches but know that they’re found in Russia, my native country. Every year feed tits & bullfinches in the difficult winter time.
That’s wonderful! I still haven’t seen bullfinches around me.
That’s cute. I’m not sure I’ve seen such a bird in my place. Or maybe I really don’t know much about birds.
Thank you very much! I think it’s more common in the western part of Asia.
Never seen the chaffinch, but I would love to. I lived in Hawaii once, and used to feed the birds from my Lanai of my apartment. I would love to load my bag up with bread, then ride to the Lakefront to feed the birds in the Summer, but many times I forget to pack it.
That’s wonderful, feeding them can easily make you a little bit happier. 🙂
Sooooo cute, and than you for sharing.
Thank you for your kind comment, have a nice week! 🙂
A beautiful bird … I have not seen it yet
Thank you very much, friend! They live near woodlands.
I regularly feed birds Ellie
