Zoo and Botanical Garden Oasis Park in Fuerteventura (2)

There is the first part of Zoo and Botanical Garden Oasis Park in Fuerteventura where I shared some photos of Botanical Garden. now, I share some photos from the Zoo.

Actually I never visit Zoos because I just hate when these amazing animals are kept closed from their natural living conditions, but this time, we were just polite as my friend wanted to show it, and she has children.

At the beginning of the park, there are birds, and from them, we began the exploring of the zoo. You can see there Soldier Lapwing that lives in Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand, and New Guinea, Cockatoo Parrots, Crowned Cranes, flamingos, and many other birds. An oasis park hosts a small show with parrots. Before the show, all the birds are sitting in cages and you can watch them. Parrots perform various tricks: they can ride a bicycle, roller skate, drive a car, play basketball, and perform various other tricks.

We go ahead and are met by a company of lemurs. next – monkeys. There are very unusual monkeys – pale saki.

Also, we met Mmeerkats, cheetahs, porcupines, giraffes, Lynxs, crocodiles, hippopotamus, zebra, African elephants, Sahara’s oryx or saber-horned antelopes, and many other animals.

Everyone wants to take a selfie with a giraffe. Nearby they sell bags of vegetables to feed the giraffes.

There is a “peasant’s yard” in the Oasis park where you can see ordinary pets.

  1. Again, amazing photographic skills showing beautiful animals of all kinds. I agree with you, zoos are not my cup of tea either but you have to remember that most of these animals are endangered in the wild so being in a zoo is somewhat beneficial for them although they are restricted….
