The Magellan’s Cross
I have this photo taken during my visit to Cebu, Philippines last July 2017. I needed to attend a training related to Peace and Order and Public Safety as part of my job with the agency I am currently connected with. After the training, my colleagues and I decided to visit some historical places.
Magellan’s Cross is housed in a chapel near next to Basilica Minore del Santo Niño in Cebu City. Based on history, Magellan’s Cross was planted by the explorers as ordered by Ferdinand Magellan upon arriving in Cebu on March 15, 1521. (Source: Wikipedia)
This made me very, very dizzy! lol

What a beautiful post, thank you for sharing! Welcome!
Very attractive place worth a visit!!!
I had visited that place when I also attended a 3-day seminar/workshop related to my work as a school principal in our division. It was a historical shrine of cross planted by Magellan when he visited Cebu while he was navigating the world.
I look historical and very attractive place worth a visit.
Thank you for the warm welcome LaJenna.
Magellan didn’t get much further than Cebu on his round-the-world voyage – he was killed a few weeks later on a neighbouring island – maybe he should have held on to the cross?
Maybe he should. thank you for visiting Indexer.
Great and interesting posy. Welcome to Virily!
