This is Orewa, Rodney district, North Auckland. This is on the East Coast and the water comes through a river under a bridge to this place. Now the tide is out and there are sea birds far away. There is a walking track that goes around in a circle that comes back here.
Next door is an Art Gallery and a Cafe in that Art Gallery and an information centre, then there’s a Youth Hall and Orewa Bowling Club. Over the road is a caravan park and through this park is Orewa beach.
There has been rain and thunderstorms today and today we went through a new tunnel extending a motorway through Mangere to Pt Chevalier. The tunnel is quite long and no wonder they took 3 years to build it.
Orewa is nice to go to for a days outing and there are shops and supermarkets and flash hotels nearby.
