A Whales & Dolphin tour is worth every cent in Auckland, there are 2 tour boats Dreamweaver tours or Fullers 360degrees. Both are excellent tours and I loved the experience either way.

There is a Gannet colony in the Waitamata harbour and here are the Gannets diving for fish. Lucky Shot for me!

This is one of the places that you can visit to take some lovely photos, as it has spectacular views. From behind me on the lookout platform is a view of the beautiful beach of Huia, West Auckland. Our bush is a variety of rich greens. The Manukau Harbour is very big.

This is a New Zealand Tui at Eden Gardens, Mt Eden, Central Auckland. It sings and then there is heaps of these birds. They play musical chairs for it is spring time here at the time this photo was taken.

This bird will band up with other tuis to defend themselves. That is why they survive.

Here is a New Zealand Spring flower from the Kowhai tree, which blooms at Spring time. 

The Tuis love them. Everyone loves them.

On returning home from Whangarei on a day trip, I stopped to take photos from an rest spot. It has awesome views and this is one of them.

You see Ruakaka with those towers it's an old oil refinery. I had some relations living here and we used to come there as children for the odd holiday. It's a beautiful spot but I have not been back there for years.

This is a native to New Zealand, it's a tiny bird that loves sweet things and fat. It also lives in Australia as well.

As a child, we always called them, "White Eye" but now some call them "Wax Eye" or "Silver Eye". 

This marina is right next to Auckland's Harbour Bridge and it's really huge. Some million or billionaires own boats here and they aren't all from this country.

However, not all of these people are in that category - for some it's their main home and all they need to pay mooring fees. 

I've often seen an affordable boat on Trade Me, a NZ website and considered living on one of these but if a storm comes from the tropics, you can't sleep easy at night.

Looking for photos for this site, I did not realise that I photographed a Blue Penguin flying during a whales & dolphins tour one day. This is the first photo I've taken of such an event. Luck in getting such photos is helped by going on such a tour.

We went past this Rangitoto Lighthouse, on the ferry returning to Auckland central from Tiritiri Matangi Island.

The Ferry to Tiritiri Matangi Island from Auckland central takes one and a half hours. It's not long for me, as Im watching for every opportunity to see all the surroundings.

This is a beautiful park near Auckland's Zoo and Pt Chevalier. It has Black Swans, Geese and Shags and Ducks and Coots and other birds.

It's a must see on your visit to Auckland bucket list and to walk around here it is free.
