We are setting records in the southeastern US these days. A hot and humid summer so far. When it gets so hot I am reminded of something a high school chemistry teacher told the class. When it is too hot outside, think snow! And if it’s too cold, think about 100 degrees. Funny how our brains can be re-trained. Maybe not that easy but with a little work we can convince ourselves that maybe it’s not THAT hot outside. Actually I am staying indoors with the air conditioning on. That is how I will re-train my brain! Either way, enjoy my cold winter photo of the iced willow tree.

The heat is awful….but don’t want snow or cold! Too bad it just couldn’t stay in the low 70’s all year round.
I know what you mean, I have said that many times! 🙂
Thanks!
Interesting insights. The brain is the engine.
Yes indeed Elenka!
In Europe, it’s very hot at the moment … thanks for the cooling 🙂
It is also hot here, in the 100*s!!!
Great capture!
Thanks Ellie! 🙂
It is very very hot and humid here and I would love to have that tree to help me train my thoughts. 🙂
You can have it in your mind. 🙂
Lovely picture!
Thanks, it is my neighbor’s tree.
?
We have a few hot days, not many this summer, and mostly rain!
It is crazy for uss and no rain in over a week.
I do wish it was a bit warmer and drier here, but i can only take so much heat too!
I know Norman it seems we are never satisfied with the weather.
Beautiful pic Carol, we don’t have snow in San Francisco
Thanks Gina
