This is a Roseala Parrot, it is an immigrant of Australia and considered a pest.
I still like it and this bird has obviously got character.
Birds seem to have a great sense of humour as this one does, there was 2 of them at Twin Oak Drive on the ground, but when I got too close both birds took off.

We have the regular parrots that visit our garden mostly to eat bilimbis and the star fruit.
I wonder if this bird that I see in your post has the characteristics of parrots.
It is an Australian aggressive Parrot.

What beautiful colors. Many consider blue jays pests and I love seeing them. So, it is sort of like weeds. They are weeds to some, and flowers to others. 🙂
