A rare astronomical event occurred today on January 31, when a total lunar eclipse coincided with the blue moon. This night, the Earth’s natural satellite was in its orbit at the smallest distance from Terra caused the occurrence of a phenomenon called “super blue blood moon”. Blue Moon is the second full moon of a calendar month. This is the second full moon of this month! The first on was on 1’st January2018
Today I went to the park to watch the moon at rise. I was hoping to catch some of the penumbral eclipse but …I was not lucky! Targovistea is surrounded by hills and there were also few clouds in the sky. At the time I saw the moon appearing … the eclipse was over. Eclipse I did not see but I have taken some pictures! Unfortunately I left without a tripod and all the pictures are taken hand held camera.
I was up, but forgot about it. Love this first shot.
I knew you would have photos, wow!
Stunning night. I like this deep blue color of the sky. 🙂
