Heavy rain and wind enough to wet the entire terrace of the house. Granite floor is not too slippery, but still, if not careful we can slip and fall.
Be careful, slip, and fall is the idea I want to underline here. Why? The phenomenon of “slipping and falling” is rampant around me. It is a very interesting phenomenon. Interesting because at this time even a person can fall not because “come to” the mound and stumble but because the mound was “brought by” to hit for someone to fall.
There is a Japanese proverb that reads, “People fall not because of tripping by the mountain but by stumbling over the hump”. This ancient wisdom has a broad and deep meaning, but the point is that people will fall because of things that are considered trivial. Mountain or something big is easy to see then it is easy to watch out and be calculated or anticipated, but not with the little things. That sense even comes to a rather naughty meaning such as the fall of men (rulers, officials, leaders, to husbands) because of humps, or small mounds, aka women. It was a bit naughty, but it was factual.
The deepest meaning is that someone, anyone, can fall, can lose their right by any means, can lose themselves in the greatest sense, for not being alert, unconscious.
Very interesting advice that you shared on this post.
I am glad to share the wisdom of life, Dee. Hope it useful…
Your posts are great to read and learn new things.
Wow! That’s a great appreciation, Dee. Thank you…
You are very welcome Albert.
Thanks a lot, my friend.
Be careful in your choice of environment because it forms you; be careful in your choice of friends, for you will look like them. – Clement Stone
And another point where you fall, because the pain is different. The difficulty of standing up is also different. But we must always slowly and carefully.
Great wise words. Every fall must be painful, so do not ever waste the fall experience; to understand all the reasons to the deepest and learn many things from it.
Such a relevant point, wise sayings.
Thank you for your appreciation and kind words, Pamela
Yes safety first before anything else. Great post!!!
You are right, LaJenna. Just be safe and healthy…
Very true words again. And life is all about the climb. Watch out for the valleys and hurdles.
That’s how we live. May we reach the pinnacle of our lives, Carol.
Sometimes the hump is the hardest part of your next step!
Such a thing is often the case, Coach
It is Albert, it is. However, knowing, preparing but also realizing are often painful!
You are right, the attachment can be very burdensome and painful. About falling, it is more painful if we fall in such a way that it’s hard to get up without knowing what our mistakes are, or the causes. On the other hand, it is foolish to fall on our fault without being willing to admit it and learn from that experience.
