What's Blooming: Mums!

I was a bit surprised to see my purple mums budding out but then a week later the yellow ones had buds.  It wasn’t just two or three buds, the plants are loaded!  It is a bit early for mums to bloom around here, as they are thought of as a Fall flower.  Regardless of that, I have had two of my three pots of mums bloom already in the middle of June!

Do you have mums in your yard or garden?  What time of the year do they usually bloom in your area?

    • They are very easy to grow and can survive a mild winter in the south. This was the first time mine came back up! I did bring them inside for the winter though. They died back and looked DEAD but sprouted out once the pot his the outdoors again in the spring.
