Nasi Goreng… pretty as a picture here! 🙂 Nasi Goreng or Fried Rice is a dish popular in this region where I live, in countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. This particular plateful I actually shot in Jogjakarta, Indonesia upon arrival for a family holiday when we ordered our lunch.
Clockwise from left, you see sate (satay) which is pieces of bite-size marinated meat (chicken here, but may be beef or lamb) on wood or bamboo skewers normally grilled over an open fire, a fresh salad, a pickled salad and serunding, a traditional meat floss. The spicy fried rice is usually fried with some egg and veggie, topped with a bullseye egg!
Wow! This looks absolutely appetizing. Too hard to resist.
