When my sister passed a few years ago, on Christmas day, it was sudden and tragic. I helped pack up her things in her home. I was given a few treasures that I will always hold close. She had a large curio cabinet filled with porcelain birds. Now they are in my home. Very special as they were special to her. Material things, yes, but a piece of her now resides with me to see, touch and feel every day.
Those little things are what help me along my grief journey. Having a little piece of something that was special to the loved one I have lost, on some days, is enough to help get me through the difficult times. Never underestimate those little things in life.
Heart touching,i respect ur feeling.
Thank you very much, it is all so true.
Your words ring true. Some small things I carry around with me all the time, and they do bring a measure of comfort, a feeling of continued connection. These porcelain birds are quite beautiful, and a fitting memento for your dear sister.
Thank you Norman. Yes, it is all about the little things.

Unfortunately I lost my young. Only 55 years old. Little things make man a great one in his life.
My sister was about that age. So sad. And sorry for your loss.
Indeed, every thing in life to the smallest must be appreciated.
That is very true Albert.
That is a lovely piece of memory Carol — sisters are special peeps, best friend and arch enemy rolled into one. I have two wonderful ones.
Yes indeed, I miss her every day.
She is with you Carol — not just in the same form
