This is a Thorn-less Prickly Pear Cactus. The cactus for cowards. lol It is smooth with just little soft spurs. This one was huge! I wonder how old it really is…
Here are my views of it.
The cover:
The photo below is a photograph my son took of me pointing to this giant.
How about some cacti love?!.
Mini Landscape framed by cacti..
Okay, I have to go there… Do you ever see shapes in clouds or patterns in objects?
How about a sea turtle gliding gently above you as you swim?
The face…
Another shot of the whole cactus.
And I end with this view..showing the wispy clouds overhead.
I hope you have a great day!

It was just too cool. I haven’t ever seen one.
For the first time I see cacti without thorns. They must be as old as a woman at age 110 when she was without teeth. The pictures are fabulous Kim
It’s the first one I have seen as well Elenka, it does look like an old woman without teeth. lol Great analogy. Thank you!
Great photos, these are cool shots! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Courtney, see why I get left behind on hikes? I must of spent ten minutes here. lol
I would too if I ever went on any! Sounds like fun though 🙂
Great images of the cactus without the thorns.
Why thank you, it was a great find!
I have seen cactus being used as props in the Road Runner cartoons when Wile E. Coyote would be stung by them and he would yell that is hurt him.
You have a great camera, and you know how to angle it perfectly every time.
Awe, thank you so much LaJenna! You made me grin!
Amazing shot of this cactus. No thorns. Great.
I didn’t even know it was a prickly pear until I got home and looked it up. Thank you Pam, yeah no thorns, it looked so odd.
Looks like the cactus is very old… it looks wonderful! Great pictures, Kim!
It must be very old. I wish I knew how old. Thank you Albert.
Maybe you can ask directly? Or to his mother?
I wish I could hahaha
Such cool photos Kim. I do often see patterns in the clouds, angels, etc.
Me too, lol I guess you can tell. Thank you Carol. : )
