That is a perfectly formed nest. I wonder too which bird did such a lovely job.
I think it was probably a desert Cardinal. They did do a great job. But with wind gusts at 100 mph , they need to be sturdy. Thanks Glori!

We see them all over around here. I have one on my back porch. That nest is made very well and tightly woven!
Yes, it is very well made. They have to stand winds of 100 mph. I found this in the desert in San Diego County. Good to hear Karen, and on your back porch. Did you get to see any eggs?

I had to look it up. This was beside my RV in the desert. Knowing the kinds of birds there I started researching. You were so close, with both of your answers. This was the size of your hand spread out, and was the home of a bunch of desert cardinals. Thanks Carol.
