These WRITE Principles when applied would make writing as simple as ABC. To write is easy but what to write is another. I know this is what most is bothered about especially how to start and how to end.
Anybody in his sound mind could write but what he wants to drive at may find him in a big quandary for it needs something to learn, something to consider as a skill or the ability to do it. Writing per se is an art.
What I am referring here is the right way to write with a piece of thought or idea or a sense to be understood and get things done as expected. I remember when I was still in my elementary particularly in Grade 4, 5 and 6. It is our requirement for us to write a composition and recast it several times until it is “perfectly” written.
Our tenses should agree with the time determiner. Our subject and the verb should in terms with. The spelling, the punctuation and every mechanics in Grammar should be observed. Writing in elementary days is so boring but we have to hurdle that boredom to pass our English class.
My interest in writing started to unfold when I kept on reading our local dialect magazine. I started writing fiction stories and had them submitted to our local magazine. I was lucky that they got into the print. And the rest was a history.

Out of more than a decade of writing experience, I have come up with a simple writing principle as my guide and this I call the WRITE principles – 5 simple guideposts in writing effectively. And the following is an excerpt from my blog, “How To Write Simply and Be Understood“.
The first is W which stands for writing down my ideas that may come into my mind. There is no simple technique on how to start writing than to begin writing.
The second is R which is for rewriting what I’ve scribbled down for grammar, spelling and coherence. This is tantamount to make your writing worthwhile, with a sense.
The third is I for integrating necessary facts to substantiate my write ups to make it reliable. This is making your write-up breathes, bringing it to be alive.
The fourth is T for telling from experience or from others’. And when I do research, I cite appropriate references to acknowledge primary sources. This makes your post talks, lives for it speaks of what is reality.
And the fifth is E for expressing my writing for others to know, to be informed, or even to entertain them via print media, or internet like blogging. Nobody knows what you are writing until you share it. You publish it.
Hope these principles will help you in your writing task. You may differ from me for I know it takes patience, endurance to perfect writing skill.
I love these tips. They are indeed effective and easy to remember. I’m going to share this via Pinterest to my Education board.

You”re welcome. An inspiration of sharing has prodded me to do this. It’s good everyone who has come across with this has impressed for being helpful.
well I have never taking up the idea of writing like I SHOULD
but back in my younger days I use to just sit in my room with
a dictionary & find words that I could turn into something.
as I have always loved to write, & I’ve been told by others
that I have a way with words that can make someones day
OR to break them into tears & I just write what I think.
You can do it for you have the latent talent of writing.
This is a very helpful way to look at writing, thanks!
I am very well pleased for your kind remarks. It is indeed my pleasure to share this to everyone.
We all need advice from time to time.
It’s good I have this and it could its purpose.
Really great advice. I was once in a writing group and they would give a person a project to do for home work. We went to the next meeting and everyone handed over their writing to be reviewed.
We practiced 3 principles
Recomend, Commend and Recomend. This meant that you got some advice on how to improve but at the same time you also got encouraged.
This helped a lot of people
