Haiga (俳画) is originally a style of Japanese painting that incorporates the aesthetics of haikai. Haiga were typically painted by haiku poets (haijin), and nowadays are often created using photos, and typically contain a single haiku.
I took this photo in Mount Usher Gardens, in Wicklow, Ireland, yesterday. The water striders are on the River Vartry, where they were very numerous, and I spent a long time observing them.
If you just watched them. This is good. Unless these shooters have fired you. And you shot them with this magnificent shotgun. I’m happy for you.
Thank you, Elenka – nobody got shot!
