When I saw this hippopotamus picture I was certain that they had sunburns and then I did the research and found that hippos don’t sunburn. What I was seeing was hippo sweat and that is what prevents them from burning. You may have known this, and it was just news to me.
Anyway, I am glad to know. Perhaps someone else learned something new too.
I think I saw a quizz where one of the questions referred the hippos sweat and that it is pink ?.

I learnt something… Didn’t know they sweat to protect themselves from sunburn.

did not know about this but when I asked my 6 year old son, he knows that hippos don’t get sunburned… hahahah
