Once again, Kim brings us a challenge. This month it is is focused upon happiness…
Happiness for me is the sound of a hard drive hashing, the soft glow of LEDs and the hum of fans in the dead of night. Better living through advanced technology is my shortcut to happiness
#1 High tech – WIP
The faithful among you might recognize the rig from my previous piece Return to 1984
I might also mention that Net Neutrality makes me happy
I think of it as an old model with a fresh coat of paint
This proves that people definitely get happiness in different ways. Technology only makes me happy when it works right and the internet is speedy. That is all too often what doesn’t happen in my home office.
I’m a computer whisperer, so I can get my systems to behave more often than not
Too bad you don’t live nextdoor. Maybe I could trade homemade cookies for help.
Yeah, everyone makes me fix their computers…
That’s what you get for being so talented technically.
Somehow this post of yours makes me think of the series ‘Person of Interest”
https://virily.com/art/return-to-1984/ is really Person of Interest…
LOVE it.Thanks for posting Alex, what a set up! I am impressed.
That’s not my setup. My rig has dual monitors but that’s about it…
I see you’re a technical and artistic person!!
For me, the two have always gone hand in hand. Even when I was traditional, I experimented with a lot of mixed media…
Happiness is every one dedicate some moments for other and help each other
Unfortunately there are some who are only happy when they make others miserable…
Happiness is the working class in control of the means of production….
Workers of the world, unite!
I didn’t grow up with computers, but I did grow up lusting for computers. When I got old enough, I built my own systems, so I have a closer relationship with my machines than most people do
When I think of how far computers have come in my lifetime, I get a special feeling
You know how to make your life happy. More people need to do as you do.
I place a premium upon happiness, whereas other folks tend to focus on things that they think will make them happy…
Doesn’t take much for you huh Alex? That is great. So many are caught up in things but you know exactly what makes you happy. So do I, and that is a good feeling.

I had a feeling you built your own computer. You are so ahed of many in the tech world. Intelligence and then some go a long way, and you have it!
This was done out of necessity, but I learned a lot in the process. Way more than I would’ve just dropping a wad of cash…
Absolutely way more learning. My brother used to do the same. He was a wiz at computers as was my Dad.
