(artwork by Lukas Andersen and used with his permission)
I miss the twinkle
The sound of laugher in the next room
A sweatshirt, I remember a sweat shirt
soaked in the sweat that named it
lying on the floor.
I hear a lawn mower sometimes
or the sound
of a vaccum and an egg
I hear a sound that isn’t there.
Do you?
Do you hear it?
I wonder often
if you hear it now.
With a twinkle in your eye.
Do you know how hard it is to Tip a Rary?
Or who is the pilot of the plane?
I miss the sound and the fury…
Cool artwork indeed Doc, keep them coming.
What cool artwork and words you have shared. A treasure indeed.
It was a tribute to my father, i was going to give it to him on father’s day 2014. He passed away 9 days before. I should have given it to him early.
Oh wow Doc, sorry I did not know. But you have it and can always remember him. I have many regrets but they will keep you up at night, so I try to replace them with the memories. Hard to do but it must be done.
I agree. I started my family history project to honor my father and his memory. I shared the poem, it just was time.
You are inspiring me to do the same one day.
